How the tiers work

Every item in the game is tested, not just the popular ones. For each playstyle we lock the item in and let the optimizer build the rest of the gear, enchantments and artifacts around it, so items that need the right partners get them. The item's rating for that playstyle is how close that build gets to the best build we found. An item's rating is the average over all six playstyles (all-round, damage, tank, mob clearing, boss killing and mobility), so items that are great at everything rank above one-trick picks. Tap any item to see how it does for each playstyle.

The buttons at the top re-rank the list for one kind of build. Tank uses the tank playstyle's ratings. Soul, Melee, Ranged and Rolling test each item in Balanced builds that deal most of their damage that way (soul artifacts, the melee weapon, the bow, or Burst Bowstring and roll enchantments), so a weapon there is rated by the best build of that kind that can carry it.

Tiers are by rank within each slot: the top 10% are S, the next 20% A, the next 30% B, the next 25% C and the bottom 15% D. The rating in each item's popup shows how big the gaps really are. Updated 19 October 2026.
